Pick up the June/July 2012 issue of National Geographic Traveler because I’m in it! I wrote a walking tour of the German Village in Columbus, Ohio. It was my absolute favorite neighborhood when we lived in Columbus for a couple years. Columbus is most often known for the Short North, a strip of High Street filled with shops, galleries, and bars, but I was happy that I was able to urge my editor to let me write about the German Village instead. It’s so much more unique — I really haven’t been to a neighborhood like it in the US! Read a PDF of the piece here or visit the story as it was reposted on Nat Geo’s Intelligent Travel blog.
