My fourth author event in Chicago was a busy one! It was in August — just a few days before my wedding — so I was quite stressed. Luckily AG Place is only a bus ride away! The staff was amazing as usual. They took me right in with a rousing game of Family Feud over lunch. They personally designed it to my tastes — yes, there was a Star Wars category. Seriously, how sweet is that? They asked me some interesting questions about writing and some hilarious inside-joke-y ones involving the ever-present “Helping Hand” that appears in my books many times.
Speaking of sweet, my adorable Grandpa recruited Chicago-based friends and family to swing by. Here I am pictured below with some second cousins who were enjoying the last week of summer break. I met a lot of girls who were in their same situation. I hope the event made their final days of summer a little more exciting.
At the end of the event, the AG ladies sent me home with an adorable gift bag filled with goodies. I proceeded to devour the American Girl jelly beans. Dang, they are good. All in all, another great event! Thanks to everyone at AG Place Chicago for making me feel at home!
